Perez OK after fall

Rider Eduardo Perez was transported to Loyola Medical Center for observation following Wednesday’s seventh race at Hawthorne.

He lost his seat when his mount, Thor’s Sword, ducked in. Perez was conscious and appeared to be OK but he suffered some bruises and will need stitches to a torn right earlobe. Any pertinent updates will follow.
