Winter wonderland but fast track at Hawthorne

Beautiful weather today as Hawthorne will look like a winter wonderland for the nine race card. A bit of overnight snow to cover the track won’t affect the racing day as we have a fast track for a very competitive nine race card. The track continues to play evenly and has produced some fine prices throughout the last week. Because of those prices, some of our carryovers have been building quickly with the Place Pick 9 carryover at $13,183, the Pick 6 at $4,170 and the High 5 at $2,003. None of these wagers will be easy to hit today and I do like some price plays. I will be putting a ticket in on the Place Pick 9 as well, hopefully we luck out!

We have a nice, wide open feature race on the card today as the 8th race is the 28th running of the Pat Whitworth Illinois Debutante. A field of 11 two-year-old fillies is set to face off and this is a very wide open race. I think Sean’s Silverdancer is the likely horse to beat in here, but watch out for bomber And How as she looks to be able to run all day long and will be a gigantic price!

Once again, Joe Kristufek and myself will be covering the nine race card on www.HorseplayerNow.com as Joe was on fire yesterday in the Pick 4 and we produced some solid gimmick payouts along with great inside information that wasn’t available anywhere else. The chat will open at 1:15 pm and cover the entire racing day.
