JOCKEY LYNDIE WADE SUFFERS FRACTURES TO MULTIPLE NECK VERTEBRAE

During the running of Hawthorne’s fifth race on Friday, Lyndie Wade was thrown to the ground when his mount, Millennium Park broke down.

At Loyola Medical Center, it was determined that Wade suffered fractures to a couple of vertebrae to his neck. He was released from the hospital wearing a neck brace. He expects to be out of racing action for four to six weeks.

Millennium Park was euthanized.
