STANLEY BANKS, 73, dies

Stanley E. Banks, age 73, a longtime fixture among the driving colony on the Chicagoland racing circuit, died Monday, March 1 at his home in Dwight, IL after a long illness.

Banks, who was always among the leading drivers at all Chicagoland harness tracks throughout the late 1970s until the early 1990s, retired with 3,513 lifetime victories and $17,167,654 in purse earnings.

Services are scheduled for Monday, March 8. As further details become available they will be posted.
