BALMORAL PARK AND MAYWOOD PARK LOWERING MINIMUMS ON TRIFECTAS AND SUPERFECTAS

If “bet a little, win a lot” appeals to you, then fans of both Balmoral Park and Maywood Park will be happy to know that the Chicagoland area tracks are reducing the wagering minimum on both Trifecta and Superfecta wagering.

Balmoral, which already offers 10 cent Superfecta wagering every night and 50 cent Trifecta wagering on Sunday nights, will make the change to offering both wagers on every racing card starting Wednesday, March 3.

The change to 10 cent Superfecta and 50 cent Trifecta wagering will be implemented at Maywood Park starting on Thursday, March 4.

“Balmoral has been having a great deal of success with the 50 cent Trifecta wager on Sundays,” said Maywood Park General Manager Duke Johnston. “After speaking with many of our fans here at Maywood they also expressed an interest in both the lower Trifectas and Superfectas, so we will begin giving them that option starting on the March 4 and hopefully we’ll see the same type of rise in our wagering pools as well.”

“Trifecta pools at Balmoral Park on Sunday nights have averaged between $20,000 and $30,000 since the change was made to go to 50 cent Trifectas,” said General Manager and Simulcast Director Jim Hannon. “Fans on track and throughout the wagering network have made it known to us that they would love to see the wager on an everyday basis, so we’ve decided to make the move as well to try and please our loyal customer base.”
