FAN APPRECIATION DAY SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 26 CONCLUDES BUSY FINAL WEEK OF RACING AT ARLINGTON PARK

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (Sept. 19, 2010) – As a way to say “Thank You” to its loyal guests, Arlington Park will have a “Fan Appreciation Day” on closing day Sunday, Sept. 26 with free General Admission for all attendees.

Those guests who previously purchased a single-day stand alone general admission ticket or a single-day reserved seat with general admission package for Sept. 26 will receive a $6 wagering voucher upon presentation of their pre-paid ticket at the redemption booth just inside each admission gate. In addition, there will be reduced prices on reserved seats.

Next Sunday’s “Fan Appreciation Day” is the culmination of a busy last week of racing at Arlington Park in 2010.

The week begins with its regular Senior Day/Value Day promotion on Thursday with $4 general admission for seniors whether purchased online or at the gate and $4 general admission to everyone else when purchased in advance on line. Post time Thursday is at 1 pm.

On Friday, Sept. 24, live racing will begin at a special post time of 1 pm in order to allow Arlington to host the “Lee DeWyze Coming Home” concert at 7:30 pm. Tickets for the racing and concert range in cost from $8-$35 and can be purchased online at arlingtonpark.com, by calling 847-385-7427 or at the track’s box office on racing days from 11:30 am until 3 pm.

The following day Saturday, Sept. 25, Rocktoberfest is presented by 97.1 FM The Drive. This German-themed event features craft beer samplings paired with food tastings, live rock music and German-themed entertainment all day long. All inclusive wristbands that offer unlimited tastings and admission to the track are available for $35.

The following craft beers will be available as part of Rocktoberfest: Leinenkugel's Oktoberfest; Blue Moon Harvest Moon; Samuel Adams Oktoberfest; Magic Hat Night of the Living Dead; Magic Hat Hex; Warsteiner Oktoberfest; Crispin Honey Crisp; and Harpoon Oktoberfest.

In addition to Rocktoberfest, Saturday will feature the “Last Chance Handicapping Challenge for 2010 Summer Series” as well as a handicapping seminar hosted by arlingtonpark.com handicapper M. Scott McMannis at noon in the track’s Starting Gate Theatre on the second floor.

Sunday, Sept. 26 is closing day at the track for the 2010 season and has been designated as “Fan Appreciation Day” with free general admission for all in attendance.

Arlington Park – the Chicago area’s premier Thoroughbred racetrack located in Arlington Heights, Ill. – will run a 91-day meet in 2010 from Thursday, April 29 through Sunday, Sept. 26.
