ARLINGTON PARK TO HAVE SPECIAL ON-TRACK PARADE, PRESENTATION HONORING 2010 STANLEY CUP CHAMPION CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS AS PART OF TRACK’S ANNUAL BLACKHAWKS LEGENDS DAY
As part of Arlington Park’s second annual Blackhawks Legends Day, Thursday, July 29, the track will be holding an on-track parade honoring the 2010 Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks. Members of the Blackhawks coaching staff and several players will be on top of a fire vehicle that will be accompanied by members of the Arlington Heights police and fire department and will make its way across the racetrack, dropping the coaches and players off at the Winner’s Circle for a special Trophy presentation following the afternoon’s sixth race.
Several players and coaches from the 2010 Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks will be attending, along with Denis Savard, former Chicago Blackhawks Hall of Fame center; Tony Esposito, former Chicago Blackhawks Hall of Fame goaltender; and members of the Chicago Blackhawks front office.
The “Chicago Blachawks Legends Day Race” is the sixth race, at approximately 3:36 pm.
Arlington Park – the Chicago area’s premier Thoroughbred racetrack located in Arlington Heights, Ill. – will run a 91-day meet in 2010 from Thursday, April 29 through Sunday, Sept. 26.
