TICKETS FOR LEE DEWYZE AMERICAN IDOL HOMECOMING PERFORMANCE SNAPPED UP IN 12 MINUTES

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (May 13, 2010) - All available free tickets for Friday’s Lee DeWyze American Idol Homecoming Concert at Arlington Park were snapped up by eager fans in less than 12 minutes when the local Idol standout advanced to the Final Three on the popular FOX television program. Arlington Park’s ticketing agency continues to tally final ticket sales, currently at around 30,000.

“We are thrilled that Lee has advanced to the Final Three and are honored that Arlington Park has been chosen to host this special event,” said Arlington Park President Roy Arnold. “The response by the great ‘American Idol’ fans was unbelievable and the tickets for the free mini concert were gone almost immediately.”

The post race performance by DeWyze is the culmination of a daylong, whirlwind trip to Chicago that starts early in the morning downtown and includes a stop at Wrigley Field, where he will throw out the first pitch, as well as parade down Northwest Highway in his hometown of Mount Prospect before wrapping up at Arlington Park.

The Mini-Concert will offer fans viewing from five large LED screens and will be preceded by video footage of his climb through the elimination ranks of the popular FOX television series.

Please be advised that outside food and beverage will not be allowed to be brought inside Arlington Park for this event with such items available for purchase at the facility.

In addition, with significant portions of I-290 under construction, officials are encouraging people to allow plenty of travel time from Chicago to the northwest suburbs for both the motorcade and the mini-concert. The METRA Chicago Northwest train line has stops in Mount Prospect and at Arlington Park.

Entry to the racecourse parking lots will be restricted to ticket-holders only after 4 pm and area police will help keep things moving smoothly by directing traffic on the major thoroughfares adjacent to the racecourse.

Exit following the Mini-Concert will be restricted as follows – those exiting through Gate 1 will only be able to go northbound on Wilke Road, those exiting from Gate 3 near Trackside will have to turn left on Euclid and then southbound on Wilke Road. Gate 5 traffic will be sent eastbound on Euclid while Gate 6 traffic will flow westbound on Euclid.

Arlington Park – the Chicago area’s premier Thoroughbred racetrack located in Arlington Heights, Ill. – will run a 91-day meet in 2010 from Thursday, April 29 through Sunday, Sept. 26. Arlington Park, whose parent company is Churchill Downs Incorporated (Nasdaq: CHDN), also operates 10 off-track, simulcast-wagering facilities: Trackside Arlington Park (Arlington Heights), Trackside Chicago, Trackside Quad City Downs (East Moline), Trackside Waukegan, Shooters Bar & Grill at Don Carter Lanes featuring Trackside Rockford, Fat Sam’s Bar & Grill featuring Trackside OTB in Lockport, Lucky’s featuring Trackside OTB in South Elgin, Nicolino’s featuring Trackside OTB in McHenry, Tad’s Sports Bar & Grill featuring Trackside OTB in South Beloit and Salerno-Pincente Ristorante featuring Trackside OTB in Hodgkins.
