ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (Sept 11, 2009) – Daily Herald and handicapper Joe Kristufek will be on hand “talking horses” at Trackside OTB locations as part of his fifth “Learn to Win” tour that on selected dates will also include handicapper, Arlington Park program comment writer and blogger Brian W. Spencer.

Kristufek’s tour of Trackside OTBs begins on Friday, Oct. 2 at Trackside South Beloit, located inside TADS Sports Bar & Grill, 1322 S. Gardner Street in South Beloit. Kristufek will be on hand from 2 pm until 6 pm to talk racing, answer questions and help fans hone their handicapping skills.

“One of the most enjoyable aspects of my job is getting out to the Trackside OTBs to share handicapping theories and ideas with fans of all levels in a casual, interactive setting,” Kristufek said. “With the final push for this year’s Breeders’ Cup upon us, I am sure Brian and I will be talking about the major Breeders’ Cup preps and who we like in the big races during our October appearances.”

During October, Kristufek and Spencer will make two Friday evening appearances to coincide with special evening Thoroughbred cards from Hawthorne Race Course. On Oct. 9, Joe and Brian will be at Trackside Lockport located inside Fat Sam’s Bar & Grill, 1225 E. 9th Street in Lockport. The following week (Oct. 16) they will be at Trackside Hodgkins located inside Salerno-Pincente Ristorante, 9301 W. 63rd Street in Hodgkins. These appearances will be from 5 pm until 9 pm with action from Hawthorne getting underway at 5:30 pm.

As an added bonus to all Trackside patrons on Kristufek's seminar days, Horseplayer PRO will provide complimentary copies of their highly successful PRO Alert, a national listing of horses entered to run that day off their exclusive "watch" list.
