‘PIGSKINS AND PONIES’ SUNDAYS IN SEPTEMBER AT ARLINGTON; FOOTBALL-RELATED AUTOGRAPH SESSIONS ALSO SCHEDULED SELECTED WEEKEND DAYS
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (Sept. 4, 2009) – With the start of the professional football season slated for next weekend, football and horse racing fans should plan to make Arlington Park their Sunday home this September.
Starting Sunday, Sept. 13 and continuing each Sunday through the end of the season Sept. 27, Arlington Park is offering a special online offer of $4 general admission price when you visit the Arlington Park website and use the coupon code “PIGSKINS” when you purchase your tickets online and in advance (advance sales end at 10 am each race day).
In addition, Arlington will feature $4 16 oz. Miller Lite specials on those same three Sundays.
Sunday isn't the only day to catch football and horse racing action at Arlington as the track will also be hosting some great special events throughout the month.
On Friday, Sept. 18, join Mike Mulligan and Brian Hanley, hosts of the SCORE 670’s morning “Mully & Hanley Show” for a special Boy's Day Out event. Listen to the SCORE 670 AM for a chance to be a part of their VIP experience and to hang out with former Chicago Bears great Ruben Brown.
Brown, a nine-time Pro Bowler and member of the Bears’ 2007 NFC Championship team, will also be signing autographs from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm in the Paddock. This event will be open to the all Arlington guests but autographs are not guaranteed after 5:00 pm.
On Saturday, Sept. 26, Arlington Park will also be hosting Chicago Bears legends Doug Buffone and Dan Hampton for a special autograph session. Together with Jesse Rogers of ESPN Radio 1000, these Bears greats will be signing autographs for Arlington guests from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm in the Paddock. This event will be open to the all Arlington guests but autographs are not guaranteed after 4:00 pm.
Arlington Park – the Chicago area’s premier Thoroughbred racetrack located in Arlington Heights, Ill. – will run a 98-day meet in 2009 from Friday, May 1 through Sunday, Sept. 27.
