WEATHER FORCES BALMORAL TO CANCEL SUNDAY PROGRAM

Due to the extreme cold that has moved into the Chicagoland area Balmoral Park has been forced to cancel its live racing card for Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008.

With high temperatures only expected to reach single digits and winds of 20+ mph, wind chills are expected to drop to as low 20 to 30 degree below zero throughout the day making conditions unsafe for everyone involved.

Balmoral is scheduled to resume with live racing on Tuesday, Dec. 23. Post time for the first race that night will be 7:20 pm. Qualifiers are also scheduled to be held on Tuesday morning at Balmoral Park beginning at 10:30 am.

Balmoral Park will remain open both day and night for simulcast wagering on tracks throughout the country.
