$20,000 PICK 5 POOL EXPECTED FOR WEDNESDAY AT BALMORAL

Fans across the country will have a chance to take down a nice payday on Wednesday at Balmoral Park thanks in part to an expected $20,000 plus Pick 5 pool. The popular wager was not hit on Tuesday’s card so a carryover pool of $5,742 will be added to the action tonight.

The Pick 5 is contested each racing night on races five through nine. Post time for Wednesday’s fifth race is expected to be about 8:40 pm (central).

Balmoral's newest wager, the Super High 5, continues to grow in popularity as fans become more familiar with the bet. Last Sunday a total of $16,200 was wagered into the Super High 5 pool, which can be played for as little as ten cents. The Super High 5 takes place on race 10 each night.

Some of the top sophomore trotters in North American will descend upon Balmoral Park this Saturday night for a pair of American National Stakes. In the $200,000 colt division this year’s Goodtimes Stake winner Clerk Magistrate has been installed as the 3-1 morning line favorite. In the $180,000 filly division Hambletonian Oaks elimination winner Lantern Kronos is the 5-2 choice for trainer Jimmy Takter.

Post time is 7:20 pm (central) on Tuesday, Wednesday & Saturday while the Sunday cards begin at 6:30 pm (central).
