JANE LEHR RICHARDSON PASSES

Longtime Veterinarian Dr. Jane Lehr Richardson passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 4, 2008.

Richardson worked for 23 years as the association Veterinarian on the Chicago harness and Thoroughbred racing circuit before taking a similar position with the Illinois Racing Board in 2003.

A tireless worker who enjoyed caring for all types of animals Richardson also helped run Homestead Farms in Crete, IL with her husband and Thoroughbred trainer Kenneth Richardson. Jane was a friend to everyone on the backstretch at all of the Illinois tracks and was an avid sports fan.
