| Balmoral Park (4/26/08) Contact: Tom Kelley MY BOY DAVID PACES FIRST SUB 1:50 MILE OF THE SEASON IN CHICAGO
The five-year-old son of Cole Muffler was positioned perfectly in the pocket by driver Ryan Anderson as Booze Cruzin (Sam Widger) carved out splits of 27.2, 54.4 & 1:22.3. After those wicked fractions a leg weary Booze Cruzin began to drift a bit in mid-stretch giving Anderson a clear shot up the inside with his charge. Still fit and fresh after the garden trip, My Boy David then roared home in 27.0 to post his second win in 13 starts this season. Booze Cruzin held on for second while Boo Bug (Mike Oosting) finished third. The Homer Hochstetler trainee, who now boasts career earnings of $1,089,404, returned $6.20, $3.60 & $3.20. In other action on Saturday night Sawgrass Farm's highly regarded three-year-old Art Official, who banked over $104,000 last year, continued to impress as he scored in a lifetime best of 1:51.4. The Joe Seekman trained son of Art Major is now scheduled to head to the Meadowlands for the upcoming Berry’s Creek Stake. |
