BALMORAL CANCELS WEDNESDAY CARD

Heavy rains and gusting winds have forced the cancellation of Wednesday night’s (Feb. 6) Balmoral Park racing card. With the inclement weather expected to get worse as the day wears on, track management and horseman have agreed to cancel for the safety of everyone involved.

Tuesday night’s card was cancelled after the first race due to heavy rains and poor visibility. This marks the third cancellation over the past eight days due to the inclement weather the Chicagoland area has been experiencing.

The usual Wednesday qualifiers (Feb. 6) were also cancelled and rescheduled for Thursday, Feb. 7 with a post time of 10:30 am (central).

Balmoral Park will remain open day and night for simulcast wagering. Live racing is scheduled to resume on Saturday, Feb. 9 with a 14-race program beginning at 7:20 pm.
