ARLINGTON HIGH-5 CARRYOVER $53,672 HEADING INTO SATURDAY’S CARD
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (June 27, 2008) – With no correct tickets sold Friday on Arlington Park’s High 5, there will be a carryover pool of $53,672 heading into Saturday’s 11-race card at the suburban Chicago racetrack and the total pool for the wager is estimated to reach $100,000.
The High-5 wager, new to Arlington for the 2008 meet, requires a bettor to correctly select the first five finishers in order in a designated race. The wager is a $1 minimum bet and will be offered on Saturday’s 7th race. If nobody hits the High-5 on the 7th race, a second opportunity will be offered on the 11th race.
Saturday’s card gets underway at 1 pm Central time and post time for the 7th race is scheduled for 3:57 pm Central.
Arlington Park – the Chicago area’s premier Thoroughbred racetrack located in Arlington Heights, Ill. – will run a 96-day meet in 2008 from Friday, May 2 through Sunday, Sept. 21.
