ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (May 6, 2008) – Blues legend Lonnie Brooks will grace the Miller Lite Band Stage at Arlington Park's Red, White & Blues Concert, a special post race show, on Saturday, May 24, 2008 presented by WXRT - Chicago's Finest Rock station. Standard general admission of $7 ($6 if purchased in advance online at applies and includes a full day of racing plus the post-race concert, which starts after the last race at approximately 6:30 pm.

This will be the first time Brooks takes his legendary sounds to Arlington Park. Brooks had a notable performing career having played venues such as the Late Show with David Letterman, shared stages with the like of Eric Clapton and headlined at major blues festivals such as the San Francisco Blues Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival and Chicago Blues Festival.

The Chicago Tribune reviewed Brooks' show as, "Brooks' live shows are a joyful paean to the power of the blues. Brooks is equally at home playing rock and roll as he is Blues...six-string fire power...One of the genre's fiercest guitarists."

Arlington Park – the Chicago area’s premier Thoroughbred racetrack located in Arlington Heights, Ill. – will run a 96-day meet in 2008 from Friday, May 2 through Sunday, Sept. 21.
