ARLINGTON PARK JUNIOR JOCKEY CLUB BRINGS THE EXCITING WORLD OF THOROUGHBRED HORSES TO KIDS

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (April 21, 2008) – Arlington Park will kick off the first Junior Jockey Club event of the season opening weekend May 4, 2008. The Junior Jockey Club offers children 12 and under hands-on activities about how to care for horses, what it takes to be a jockey, equine health and much more.

"Over the years, the Junior Jockey Club has proven to be a great way for children to learn about horses and to experience all that Arlington Park has to offer," said Roy Arnold, president of Arlington Park. "In addition, it's a great way for kids to get involved with something unique and different during their summer break."

Children interested in joining the Junior Jockey Club can sign up at the Junior Jockey Club tent every Sunday. Membership is free and children 17 and under are always admitted free to Arlington Park.
