Contact: David Zenner ARLINGTON PARK CELEBRATES CHICAGO AREA MOTHERS ON MOTHER'S DAYARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (April 16, 2008) – Mother's Day at Arlington Park has become a family tradition. This year the park will celebrate Chicago area mothers with several special Mother's Day activities on Sunday, May 11, 2008. The first 7,500 ladies through the doors will receive a Rio Rose®, provider of the world's finest roses grown in South America. Families can show their appreciation for Mom this year with a day filled with the excitement of Thoroughbred racing, beautiful surroundings, fun activities and great food. Arlington Park will offer several packages that are sure to be an extraordinary experience for everyone. Packages include:
Junior Jockey Club members, children age 12 and under will also have the opportunity to make Mom a special picture frame that she can cherish for a lifetime at Arlington Park's Junior Jockey Club located in the Paddock area. In addition, kids can also get involved with Arlington Park's Family Day, "Getting Excited About Science." This unique program will engage kids of all ages with the ins and outs of recycling materials we often take for granted along with the investigation of basic scientific principles. With the use of humor, music and audience participation, the program offers fun for the whole family. And, as on every Sunday at Arlington, pony rides, a petting zoo and face painters will be on hand to entertain the whole family.
