FRIDAY POST MOVES TO 2:30 P.M. IN SEPTEMBER

Miller Lite Party in the Park Continues Through Meet’s End

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (Aug. 30, 2007) – Arlington Park officials announced that post time will be a half-hour earlier than usual at 2:30 p.m. for the final two Friday cards of the season, Sept. 7 and Sept. 14.

The post time shift is being made to allow Arlington to continue to card 10 races each Friday despite dwindling daylight hours.

The popular Miller Lite Party in the Park will continue into September with live classic rock by Luna Blu on Sept. 7 and great '50s rock, soul and jazz by Steve Arvey and the Saxtells.

Arlington’s racing season continues through Sunday, Sept. 16 with live racing Wednesday through Sunday, plus Labor Day Monday. Post time is 1 p.m. except Friday when the first race is set for 2:30 p.m.

Arlington Park – the Chicago area’s premier Thoroughbred racetrack located in Arlington Heights, Ill. – will run a 94-day meet in 2007 from Friday, May 4 through Sunday, Sept. 16.
