Contact: David Zenner ARLINGTON CANCELS FINAL RACE THURSDAY ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (Aug. 23, 2007) – The ninth race at Arlington Park was canceled Thursday because of severe weather in the area. The Late Pick 4 that would have concluded with the 9th race paid $36.50 on 1-5-5-ALL. The Pick 3 that would have concluded with the 9th race paid $311.60 on 5-5-ALL. The Late Daily Double would have concluded with the 9th race paid $12.40 on 5-ALL. The Pick 6 that would have concluded with the 9th race paid $740.00 for five out of six on the 9-8-1-5-5-ALL combination. There will be a Friday Pick 6 carryover of $4,915. Racing at Arlington Park will resume Friday with a 3 p.m. first post. Arlington Park – the Chicago area’s premier Thoroughbred racetrack located in Arlington Heights, Ill. – will run a 94-day meet in 2007 from Friday, May 4 through Sunday, Sept. 16.
