Contact: Dan Leary JOCKEYS OCAMPO & LOPEZ TAKEN TO HOSPITAL FOLLOWING SECOND RACE SPILL ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (August 17, 2007) – Jockeys Israel Ocampo and Uriel Lopez were taken to Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Ill. following an incident in Friday’s second race at Arlington Park. High Pay, ridden by Ocampo, fell on the second turn in the mile and a sixteenth race. McLord, ridden by Lopez, could not avoid the fallen horse. Both riders were conscious and were transported by ambulance directly to the hospital for further evaluation. Arlington Park – the Chicago area’s premier Thoroughbred racetrack located in Arlington Heights, Ill. – will run a 94-day meet in 2007 from Friday, May 4 through Sunday, Sept. 16.
