| Illinois Racing Board August 29, 2006 Contact: Mickey Ezzo GOVERNOR APPOINTS CIAMBRONE TO RACING BOARD CHICAGO, IL – Governor Rod Blagojevich announced the appointment of Angelo “Sam” Ciambrone to serve as a Commissioner of the Illinois Racing Board. He previously served on the Racing Board from 1976 to 1980. Ciambrone will replace long-time Commissioner John Simon. As Mayor of the City of Chicago Heights from 1995 to 2003, his administration stressed industrial development and greater citizen participation through volunteer committees. While Mayor, he served as President, Vice-President, and Treasurer of the South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association. A graduate of the DePaul University College of Law, he is a partner in the law firm of Wilczynski, Wilczynski & Ciambrone. He is a member of the American, Illinois, Chicago Bar Associations, the Justinian Society of Lawyers, and the National Association of Immigration Lawyers. Born in Chicago Heights, Illinois and married to the former Jean Del Giudice, he currently resides in Chicago Heights. Ciambrone’s appointment is a 6 year term effective August 28, 2006.
