Test Your Handicapping Skills!
Do you think you’re the best handicapper on the grounds?
Then prove it!
Even if you’re not so good, that doesn’t mean you can’t get lucky, or at least have a heck of a lot of fun.
Saturday night, Hawthorne offers fans an opportunity to test their horse picking skills in the first of three Handicapping Open satellite contests.
The tournament is open to all horseplayers, but is limited to the first 300 who register. For just $10, contestants receive an appetizer and dessert buffet and an opportunity to compete for over $1,000 in prize money. The first prize is $500!
The contest is held on the third floor of the grandstand, and registration begins at 6 p.m.
The top ten finishers on Saturday qualify for the $10,000 Club Hawthorne Handicapping Invitational, to be held on Sunday, June 11. The prize money for the Final is estimated, based on 200 reservations.
If you don’t qualify for the Invitational on Saturday, you’ll still have two more opportunities to do so. Additional satellite handicapping opens will be held at Hawthorne on Sunday, May 21 and Sunday, June 4. For more information, visit the Handicapping Contest section of our website at www.hawthorneracecourse.com, and best of luck!
