Last Chance to "Spring" Into the Midwest Championship!

Lots at stake in Hawthorne's Spring Series Handicapping Finales

The final weekend of Hawthorne’s Spring Championship Handicapping Series is upon us. The top ten finishers in both Saturday’s “Down to the Wire” tourney and Sunday’s “Spring Series Finale” will earn berths into the coveted $50,000 Midwest Championship, to be held at Hawthorne April 29-30. If you haven’t secured your entry into the Midwest Championship, please do so immediately; time is running out. Remember, if you earn a berth through one of this weekend’s contests, the $200 entry fee you paid to secure your entry is refundable. Entries are limited to two per contestant. Contact Monique Mahler at 708-780-3700 for more information.

This weekend’s contest results are also critical in determining the “Spring Series Champion.” Top five finishers in the Spring Series receive an entry into the Gold Coast Summer Classic, to be held at the Gold Coast Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, July 20-22. The package includes hotel accommodations and a $500 travel voucher. In addition to the Summer Classic package, the Spring Series tournament king or queen will also receive a two-year lease on a hemi-powered 2006 Dodge Charger, courtesy of Mancari’s, along with a championship jacket and trophy.

As you can tell by the current standings, the Spring Series is up for grabs!
