Finishing second in the local contest, which had 300 entries, was Darren D’eath of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. D’eath, whose bankroll totaled $382, earned $6,000 and a berth in the DRF/NTRA Handicapping Challenge.

Joe Rich of Leetonia, Ohio, whose bankroll of $361 was good enough to finish third in the contest, earned $4,000 and a DRF/NTRA Handicapping Challenge starting berth.
