Contact: David Zenner THORNTON TAKEN TO HOSPITAL FOLLOWING NINTH RACE MISHAP ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (July 30, 2006) – Jockey Timothy Thornton, whose mount in the ninth race, Strategic Sun (No. 4), broke through the inside rail on the turf course, was taken directly to Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights. Thornton was conscious and alert when he was transported to the hospital. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available. Arlington Park -- the Chicago area’s premier Thoroughbred racetrack located in Arlington Heights, Ill. -- will run a 95-day meet in 2006 from Friday, May 5 through Tuesday, Sept. 12.
