FANS TO CHOOSE WINNER OF ARLINGTON PARK KENTUCKY DERBY DAY HAT CONTEST
Winner to Earn Trip to 2007 Kentucky Derby
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (April 25, 2006) -- The second most entertaining parade on the first Saturday in May, next to the Kentucky Derby "post parade," is the parade of hats on display at the racetrack on Derby Day, Saturday, May 6. Open for racing as the host of Illinois’ Largest Kentucky Derby Party, Arlington Park will award the person wearing the best fashion hat, as selected by the racing fans in attendance that day, a trip to the 2007 Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs.
Individuals wearing a fashion hat (baseball caps or sports caps will not be considered fashion hats) to Arlington Park on Saturday, May 6 will receive an official entry bag and a free admission to Arlington Park. In addition, each patron in attendance will receive one vote for the best fashion hat.
The contestant who reports to the designated contest area by the post time of Arlington Park’s fifth race (approximately 2:30 p.m.) with the most votes collected will be declared the “Best Fashion Hat” and will win a trip for two, to include airfare, hotel and tickets to the 2007 Kentucky Derby.
Also, one patron vote will be drawn from the winner’s official entry bag to win a prize package of overnight stay for two, including free golf or spa treatment for two at the Grand Geneva Resort.
Tucked within historic Lake Geneva, Grand Geneva Resort is one of only three AAA Four-Diamond resorts in Wisconsin. An enchanting landscape of rolling hills and pristine views awaits its guests. During every season, visitors know that they are enjoying the rewards of staying at one of the nation's premier vacation destinations. And best of all, Grand Geneva is easy to reach, just a short drive from Chicago and Milwaukee. For more information, visit www.grandgeneva.com.
