Contact: David Zenner JUNIOR JOCKEY CLUB EDUCATES CHILDREN ABOUT HORSES AND RACING Sunday Club for Children 12 and Under Returns in 2006 ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (April 12, 2006) -- Arlington Park's Junior Jockey Club is back for its fifth season in 2006 with a schedule of events that introduces children to the majesty of the Thoroughbred and the pageantry of horse racing. The Junior Jockey Club, open to children 12 and under, educates children about Arlington Park and horses through hands-on activities and giveaways. With parental consent, the Junior Jockey Club is free to join at the Junior Jockey Club tent at Arlington on Sundays. As part of the club, kids receive four free newsletters during the racing season highlighting club activities, horse terminology and upcoming events. Junior Jockey Club events are held from noon until 4 p.m. in the Park area (unless noted otherwise) on Pepsi Family Day Sundays from May 7 through Sept. 10. Some events require pre-registration on the Junior Jockey Club hotline (847) 870-6614. Members who attend five or more Junior Jockey events during 2006 will be invited to the Junior Jockey Club party at the end of the season. Children 17 and under are always admitted free to Arlington Park. The complete schedule of Junior Jockey Club events follows:
