Hawthorne Race Course and ESPN 1000 Bring Listeners the Inside Scoop on the Fall Harvest Festival of Racing

STICKNEY, IL -- On Saturday, September 24, 2005, fans of horse racing have a unique opportunity, a chance to get the early inside scoop on the upcoming day at Hawthorne Race Course. Thomas Carey, III, President of Hawthorne Race Course and Jim Miller, Assistant General Manager will be joined by two of Chicagoland’s premier handicappers, Joe Krisutfek of Horsin Around TV and David “The Maven” Gutfreund as they discuss the Fall Harvest Festival of Racing with Tom Shaer and Harry Teinowitz of ESPN1000 radio.

Listeners that tune into ESPN1000 from 8am-9am on Saturday will get an insider’s look at the day’s races including the $750,000 Hawthorne Gold Cup, $150,000 Robert F. Carey Memorial and the $150,000 Indian Maid Breeders’ Cup.

Harry Teinowitz has a long history with one of the day’s feature races, the Hawthorne Gold Cup. His father Phil Teinowitz owned the 1988 and 1989 Gold Cup winner CryptoClearance. Perfect Drift headlines this year’s race and we are confident Harry or one of our Hawthorne experts will have this year’s winner ready to announce to all listeners.
