ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (May 21, 2005) -- William Pacella, Joseph Rizza & Ronald Schwed's My Ro rallied widest of all in the stretch to win the $42,000 Fit For A Queen Stakes by two lengths on Saturday at Arlington Park. The Dale Romans-trained daughter of Dixieland Band traveled the six furlongs in 1:10.03 and gave jockey Shaun Bridgmohan his fourth victory of the afternoon.

"She broke good and I had a little hold of her," said Bridgmohan. "On the turn, she was going to be fanned a little wide, so I tucked her in a bit. I knew she had a little bit left and I didn't ask her. I moved her up on the turn, got to the top of the stretch, swing her out and she just ran them down."

The Fit For A Queen Stakes was the first race in nearly three months for the 5-year-old mare and her first win in almost 15 months. She earned $25,200 to boost her bankroll to $129,570 while picking up her fifth score in eight starts overall.

Rich City Girl made a mild rally to finish second, two lengths ahead of 7-5 favorite Liz On Polk Street. Silver Crown ran fourth.

Longshot Pass The Pepper was the pacesetter, holding the lead through quick fractions of 22.37 second, 45.23 seconds and 57.65 seconds before fading to fifth in the stretch. Glitterbdancing and Counttheblessings completed the order of finish.

My Ro, second choice in the wagering at 3-1, paid $8, $4.60 and $3. Rich City Girl returned $5.80 and $3. Liz On Polk Street paid $2.40.
