SUNDAY JOCKEY AUTOGRAPH SESSION AT ARLINGTON FOR DISASTER FUND

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (September 3, 2005) -- Members of the Arlington Park jockey colony will hold an autograph session beginning at noon on Sunday and continuing throughout the afternoon to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Guests of Arlington will get to meet some of their favorite riders in the Paddock West area while getting a chance to contribute to Arlington's "Hurricane Disaster Relief Fund" at the same time.

Veteran jockey Mark Guidry -- a Louisiana native as are numerous other horsemen in Chicago and throughout the nation -- announced the creation of Arlington's "Hurricane Disaster Relief Fund" during the races last Thursday, and the drive for contributions has quickly gained momentum.

Checks should be made out to H.G.C.A., with a notation that the check is designated for the "Hurricane Disaster Relief Fund."

Arlington Park -- the Chicago area's premier Thoroughbred racetrack located in Arlington Heights, Ill. -- is running a 94-day meet in 2005 from Friday, May 13 through Sunday, Sept. 18. Arlington Park, whose parent company is Churchill Downs Incorporated (Nasdaq: CHDN), also operates eight off-track, simulcast-wagering facilities: Trackside Arlington Park (Arlington Heights), Trackside Quad City Downs (East Moline), Trackside Chicago, Trackside McHenry, Trackside Rockford, Trackside South Beloit, Trackside Waukegan and Lucky's featuring Trackside OTB in South Elgin. Information on Arlington Park can be found online at www.arlingtonpark.com.
