MYMICH WINS SUNDAY'S FLAWLESSLY AT ARLINGTON PARK

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (September 12, 2004) -- Willmott Stables Inc.'s Mymich overtook frontrunner Rich City Girl inside the furlong marker and held off a late rally by One Fine Shweetie to win the $44,375 Flawlessy Stakes by three-quarters of a length Sunday at Arlington Park. Eusebio Razo Jr. rode the daughter of A. P. Indy who covered the mile over firm turf in 1:36.64.

The Tony Reinstedler-trained filly rebounded from an eighth-place finish in her last start, the $65,000 De La Rose Stakes at Saratoga, to record her second victory of the year and fifth in 24 starts overall. She earned $26,625 to push her bankroll to $226,301.

Razo kept Mymich a couple of lengths off the pace being set by Rich City Girl, who led through fractions of :24.57, :47.50, 1:11.53 and 1:24.29 before giving way in the final eighth of a mile.

One Fine Shweetie was a half-length clear of Beautiful Bets and Brunilda, who finished in a dead-heat for third. Princess Pelona, Rich City Girl, Golden Trevally, Samantha B. and Proud Beauty completed the order of finish.

Sent off at odds of more than 6-1, Mymich paid $15.60, $8.20 and $4.20. One Fine Shweetie paid $17.40 and $5.60. Beautiful Bets paid $3.60. Brunilda paid $2.60.
