MULTIPLES ABOUND

IT'S A FAMILY AFFAIR

It was a great day for a select few on Friday. Trainer Janice Ely started two and won both of her races. She took the third with No Winking ($35.60) and came back with another nice-priced winner when My Dallas ($15.20) took the fifth. In a related note, with the emphasis on related, trainer Danny Miller, Ely's brother-in-law, won with Grass Creek ($6.20), his only starter of the day.

VINCI WITH TWO

Trainer Charlie Vinci scored with two of his four runners on Friday. Sister Cabrini ($5.20) won the fourth and Bluffer ($20.20) took the sixth. Both were owned by Wexler Stables.

MEIER ON A ROLL

Fans of jockey Randy Meier had an extremely profitable day. He took three of the first four races. He won the first with Man 'o Rhythm ($16.40), came back in the third with No Winking ($35.60), and grabbed his third winner of the day with Sister Cabrini ($5.20) in the fourth. He's now tied for the lead with Shane Laviolette.

BIG DAY FOR SILVA

Carlos Silva is another who had a great day Friday. He took the second with Grass Creek ($6.20), the fifth with My Dallas ($15.20), and the seventh with Hold That Glitter ($3.80).
