Thanksgiving was the day of doubles.

Jockey Alfredo Juarez Jr. started off the day with a double helping in the Daily Double. He took the first with Call Granny ($5.40) and came right back with Red Clover ($64.20) in the second.

Not to be outdone, E. T Baird took the next two races. He rode M C Squared ($23.60) to victory in the third and made another trip to the winner's circle in the fourth with Crazi ($5.60).

Top jock Shane Laviolette wasn't about to be left out of the party. He won the fifth aboard Afleet Buck ($9.60) and returned to the winner's circle in the seventh with Buba's Caper ($4.40).

Nine different trainers were represented in the victory celebrations.

BEHIND THE SCENES, the popular Hawthorne Saturday breakfast show, will feature Hawthorne handicappers Jim Miller and Ron Uchman, as well as host Peter Galassi. It takes place on the first floor grandstand level at 10:30. Free coffee and rolls will be served.
