BIG DAY FOR LAVIOLETTE

Jockey Shane Laviolette went on a roll halfway through Friday's race card. He won the fifth with Bandana ($12.40), the seventh with Dellionaire ($5.00), and the eighth with Stormin Bayou ($5.80).

HANDICAPPING CONTEST

The final qualifier for Hawthorne's November handicapping contest takes place Saturday. Just pick two winners from races four to nine to qualify for the finals to be held next Saturday.

If you can't make it Saturday, the December contests will start in two weeks.
