Kirby Wins Two

Trainer Frank Kirby had a training double Sunday. Among Friends ($10.80) won the first while Be Factual ($3.60) took the seventh.

Laviolette Stays Hot

Jockey Shane Laviolette won a pair Sunday, scoring back-to-back wins in the seventh and eighth races. Be Factual ($3.60) crossed the wire first in the seventh and Talknow ($19.40) took the eighth.

So Long Sibille

Jockey Ray Sibille won the second race aboard Be My Sun ($11.00) on Sunday but it's probably going to be his last local victory for awhile. He's heading south to ride at the Fair Grounds for the winter. We wish him well.

Bithynian's sixth win

Wexler Stable's Bithynian ($9.00) won the sixth race on Sunday. He's now unbeaten in four starts at Hawthorne. However, he will be making his next start here for new connections, since he was claimed from that race. Hopefully new owner Louis O'Brien and trainer Ralph Martinez will have the same kind of luck with him.
