ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. -- Arlington Trackside will be holding a handicapping contest Saturday, December 9, 2000 with cash prizes totaling $500.

There is no fee to enter the contest, which covers races 2-9 at Hawthorne Race Course and races 8-11 from Calder Race Course in Florida. The Calder races are the Grand Slam I stakes races including the My Charmer Handicap (G3), the Tropical Turf Handicap (G3), the What a Pleasure Stakes (G3) and the Three Ring Stakes. The Hawthorne program is highlighted by the $100,000 High Alexander Stakes. Deadline for submitting entries is post time for Hawthorne's second race at approximately 1:35 p.m.

First prize, based upon total number of winners selected, is $300. Second prize is $150. Third prize is $50.
