ARLINGTON RACES AVAILABLE TO GREATER AUDIENCE IN 2001

Scheduled for CBS Sports, ESPN, ESPN 2, CNBC, TVG and First-Ever Replays Via the Internet

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (May 22, 2001) -- Highlighted by two appearances on national network television on CBS Sports, plus broadcasts by ESPN and ESPN 2, a race in CNBC's inaugural coverage of the NTRA Two-Year-Old Challenge, expanded coverage by Television Games Network (TVG), and, for the first time ever, live audio and video race replays on the track's website, www.arlingtonpark.com, Arlington Park races will be available to a larger audience in 2001 than ever before.

"We are pleased to be able to showcase Arlington Park and Illinois racing to more racing fans this year than ever before," said Arlington Park Chief Executive Officer Scott Mordell. "Two races on CBS Sports, the two-year-old series on CNBC, continued coverage by the ESPN networks and TVG with the addition of making our race replays available via the Internet for the first time will help us bring the excitement of Arlington's races to local, national and international audiences."

The Sunday, July 1 Stars and Stripes Breeders' Cup Turf and the Million Preview Day Arlington Handicap on Saturday, July 28 will be broadcast nationally by CBS Sports highlighting an expanded schedule of races from Arlington Park to be aired on network and cable television in 2001. This marks the first time since the July 13, 1996 victory by Cigar in the Citation Challenge, also on CBS, that Arlington races will be featured on network television.

Arlington's television schedule also includes live coverage of the Arlington Million and Beverly D. on ESPN on Arlington International Festival of Racing Day, Saturday, August 18, and the Saturday, July 7 Hanshin Cup on "2Day at the Races," the ESPN 2 weekly highlight show. The Arlington-Washington Futurity on Saturday, September 29 will be broadcast on same-day tape delay on CNBC as part of the NTRA Two-Year-Old Challenge. The schedule of other selected Arlington Park races on ESPN 2 will be available at a later date.

In addition, TVG will expand their Arlington coverage by adding replays of daily races on a regular basis.

Also, for the first time ever, live audio and video replays of Arlington's races will be available on the Internet through the track's website www.arlingtonpark.com every day of the live meet from June 13 to Oct. 28, 2001. The addition of these replays will coincide with the launch of a new website prior to the start of the meet.
