Season Pass, 10-Day Mini Pass, Million Room Package and Gift Certificates Available for Holidays

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (Nov. 16, 2001) -- In preparation for the holidays, Arlington Park announced that discount passes and dining packages as well as gift certificates for 2002 will go on sale this Monday, Nov. 19. Next year, Arlington Park, the Chicago area's premier Thoroughbred racetrack located in Arlington Heights, Ill., will run a 107-day meet from Wednesday, June 5 to Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002.

"Last year, we received an outstanding response to offering these Arlington Park items for the holidays," said Arlington Park President Steve Sexton. "They make great gifts and we have already received many requests for them this year."

The 2002 Admission Pass costs $300 and is good for admission to Arlington Park with an Arlington Daily Racing Guide during the live 2002 meet from June 5 to Oct. 27 and for admission only to Trackside Arlington Park from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2002. Season passes are not valid at either location on selected special race days. The Admission Pass has a $525 value for the Arlington Park live meet and is worth $1,299 annually at Trackside Arlington Park.

The 10-admittance Mini Pass is $40, a $10 savings, for 10 general admissions with an Arlington Daily Racing Guide to the 2002 Arlington Park meet except on selected special race days.

General admission for the 2002 season will remain the same for customers using Twin Spires cards at the admission gates. Twin Spires club membership is free and will be available at designated sign-up tables outside the admission gates at the start of the 2002 meet as well as at the on-track Twin Spires Club Center throughout the season. Customers without a Twin Spires card will pay a $5 admission, which includes an Arlington Daily Racing Guide.

Million Room Certificates, which include a discount luncheon package with admissions, Arlington Daily Racing Guides and lunch for four in the Million Room, are $100. Lunch consists of one appetizer per table, one entrée and dessert per person, and includes complimentary soda, coffee or tea. Alcoholic beverages, tax and gratuity are not included. Reservations for the Million Room, which are required and subject to availabililty, can be made beginning May 1, 2002. Million Room Certificates, not valid for selected special race days, will only be on sale through June 1, 2002.

Arlington Park Gift Certificates, in $10 and $20 denominations, make great stocking stuffers. Gift Certificates are available at all Arlington Park off-track betting (OTB) locations and may be used at full cash value at the track or any OTB facility.

Applications for the Arlington Park 2002 Admission Pass, 10-admission Mini Pass, Million Room Certificate and $20 or $10 Gift Certificates will be available at Arlington Park and its five off-track betting facilities -- "Trackside" Arlington Park, Chicago, Quad Cities Downs, Rockford and Waukegan.
